Public transport

As moving around by taxi might be a little too expensive, most of the students in Rome use public transport.

If you can’t reach your hosting university by foot, you might want to consider getting a monthly or annual bus ticket, depending on how long you are staying in Rome.

Here you can find a list of the different kind of tickets you can purchase:

BIT (100 minutes) - €1,50

ROMA 24H - €7,00

ROMA 48H - €12,50

ROMA 72H - €18,00

CIS (7 days) - €24,00

Monthly Ticket (rechargeable) - €35,00

Annual Ticket (365 days) - €250,00

You can get all of the ticket above in any automatic ticket machine you can find in every metro station, except for the Monthly and Annual ticket, which you can purchase in Laurentina, EUR Fermi, Ponte Mammolo, Conca D’oro and Termini on the B/B1 line, or Anagnina, Battistini, Lepanto and Ottaviano on the A line.
